A few days ago, I had the immense pleasure of being part of Atlas Textil, a podcast that navigates the stories and crafts of textile creators—this time focused on the magical region of Magallanes, Chile. It was an intimate conversation, full of memories, anecdotes, and reflections on how textiles have woven the threads of my life.

From my very first crochet stitches (those university bags I used to sell!) to the transformative encounter with Magallanes wool, and even that almost mystical experience that revealed my irrevocable connection to weaving… every step has been a journey. And yes, literally: today I weave while moving, from our motorhome, with the world as my studio and landscapes as my inspiration.

In this interview with Catalina and Macarena, we talked about:

If you want to hear about Lenga forests, Magallanes sunrises, and why weaving eight identical blankets was my worst creative nightmare, I invite you to immerse yourself in this chapter. It is filled with honesty, laughter, and that slow pace that only Patagonia knows how to give.

And to my fellow weavers, embroiderers, and creators reading this: Dream big, but above all, dream in freedom.

Warmly,

Claudia Wool
