Portfolio of Contemporary Textile Art by Claudia Wool
Hand-Woven Tapestries
My tapestries are conceptual, structural pieces crafted primarily with Magallanes wool. Since adopting a nomadic studio, my work has focused on smaller, high-density formats, exploring the relationship between vast Patagonian landscapes and the austerity of life on the road.
Stitched Textile Art Journals
The Textile Art Journals are an essential exploration of small-format textile work. Conceived as visual diaries, these unique pieces serve as a register of the landscapes, emotions, and concepts gathered during my nomadic life. They function as profound, layered artworks where hand-stitching and painting on fabric document the journey, emphasizing the value of portable and intimate contemporary art.

Stitched Watercolors & Textile Interventions
These works merge my dedication to watercolor with subtle textile interventions. My practice uses stitching as a medium to add texture, narrative, and conceptual complexity to the painted canvas, drawing perpetual inspiration from Chilean Patagonia.

Watercolors:
Below I present a selection of my watercolor work. My inspiration is the landscapes, colors and atmospheres of my home: Chilean Patagonia.
